Reserve football club of ‘Spartak’ team will be liquidated
The reserve team of the capital's football club ‘Spartak-Moscow’ was decided to be liquidated.  The fate of Spartak-2, which played in the second division of Russian football (the National Football League), turned out to be short-lived.  The project will not be able to celebrate its tenth anniversary in 2023.

The financial problems caused by a reduction in budget revenues is called a reason for the liquidation.  Despite the fact that the ‘Spartak-2’ club allowed many young players to reach the first division, external circumstances had their negative impact on the sport.  The club's management considered that the further development of the project had no rational grounds in such conditions.

The words of gratitude to the fans who supported the players during the games were published on the official page of the club's website on the Internet.  The club management also thanked the coaching staff headed by Evgeny Bushmanov.
In the spring of 2022, the capital's football club faced many problems related to the various sanctions against players.
The team was suspended from participation in European competitions.  Nike, which was the club's sponsor, terminated the advertising agreements.

We should recall that earlier FIFA suspended all Russian football teams from participation in competitions held by the International Football Federation.  By decision of CAS (sports arbitration), this sanction was upheld.

Against such a background, the Moscow ‘Spartak’ made a decision to focus on working with the youth team of athletes and the development of youth football.  Contracts with each of the representatives of the coaching staff and players in the club's management are supposed to be discussed individually.
