«NEVSKIY BANK» WAS OFFICIALLY DECLARED BANKRUPT
The corresponding decision was made by the arbitration court of St. Petersburg and the Leningrad region. The insolvency proceedings have been introduced for the organization.

In the case of “Nevsky Bank”, the obligations of arbitration manager will be performed by the Deposit Insurance Agency - a report on the work will be provided in mid-March 2021.

We should remind that “Nevsky Bank” lost its Central Bank license on December 13, 2019. The financial institution was accused of stealing a significant part of the assets and the subsequent loss of capital. The persons, involved in the embezzlement scheme, have not yet been identified, however, it is noted that the amount of lost funds amounted to 3 billion rubles. A criminal case has been initiated on this fact.

The Central Bank also acted as the initiator of the bankruptcy case of the “Nevsky Bank”, a hole in the capital of which is estimated at 2.76 billion rubles.

“Nevsky Bank” has existed since 1990 and had branches in Moscow, St. Petersburg, Tolyatti, Samara and Ulyanovsk. Shortly before the revocation of the license, it occupied  the 317th place in the banking rating of the Russian Federation.
