KURSK NON-FERROUS METAL PRODUCER DECLARED BANKRUPT
KURSK NON-FERROUS METAL PRODUCER DECLARED BANKRUPT
The firm "Riaztsvetmet" from Kursk went into receivership. The arbitration recognized the company, which was in the process of liquidation, as bankrupt on the claim filed by the bankruptcy trustee of the non-ferrous metals plant from Ryazan (case no. A35-8846/2022). The decision was made on April 26.
Formally, the reason for the appeal to the court was the debt of 1.5 million rubles. The Kursk enterprise leased production facilities from a bankrupt plant from Ryazan, but never fully paid off its lease debts.
In June 2022, Rusbankrot already dealt with the negative situation that arose in the non-ferrous metallurgy market in Russia. Warehouses of many companies were overflowing, lead supplies for export were stopped, and domestic demand was in a state of sharp decline. There was no rapid reorientation of export flows from the West to the East. As a result, there was a question of stopping production and subsequent liquidation.
Riaztsvetmet has been operating since 2016. The main activity was the processing of scrap (primarily car batteries). In 2022, the company made a profit of 2.4 million rubles with revenue of 945.7 million. In November, the company was acquired by Kirill Mingazov.
A criminal case was initiated against the ex-head of the company Yulia Goncharova a few years ago. The reason was the non-payment of 45 million rubles of tax payments revealed by the investigation, local media write. As a result, the property was seized in the range of 1.25 billion. A car, real estate and lead totaling about 70 million were sanctioned.
At the end of 2021, the court began to consider the case, but in the end it was closed. Goncharova had already compensated for the damage by this time. The imposed arrests were lifted.
