Conservative commercial bank lost the license of Central Bank
On February 11, the Central Bank revoked the license from the Conservative Commercial Bank. The credit institution occupied 164th place in the Russian banking system.
Relevant information appeared on the website of the Central Bank. The regulator noted that the license was revoked due to systematic violations of federal laws and regulations of the Central Bank. Over the past year, the Central Bank tried to apply measures to the organization and impose restrictions, but this did not help.
‘Conservative Commercial Bank’ violated the law in terms of laundering money obtained by criminal means.
Separately, it was added that CCB was not actually engaged in traditional banking activities, concentrating on e-commerce. The bank did not study the economic rationale of customer transactions, even if the sources were not transparent.
The Central Bank emphasized that CCB worked with increased risks, served the shadow gambling business and participated in the operations of illegal market fragments.
On February 11, a temporary administration represented by the Deposit Insurance Agency will start working at CCB. It will function until the bank appoints a bankruptcy trustee or liquidator. The Central Bank also reminded that CCB was included in the deposit insurance program, and therefore each client of the bank can receive their funds - but not more than 1.4 million rubles per person.
