BUSINESS WRITER THREATENS BANKRUPTCY OF ST. PETERSBURG BOOKSTORE

Insolvency threatens the famous bookstore of St. Petersburg. The company "Skid" announced its desire to file a bankruptcy claim in arbitration. Previously, she had already been in litigation with the ANO "Writers' Bookstore", which manages the store of the same name.

The court ordered the bookselling organization to pay the creditor more than 5 million rubles.

It is known that the company "Skid" received the rights to claim 4.9 million rubles as a result of the assignment. The organization is owned by the head of the company "MegaMaid" Stanislav Logunov. In addition to the position of chairman of the board of directors, in this corporation, which is engaged in design and construction activities in the field of transport engineering and received revenue of 1.9 billion rubles last year, the entrepreneur is known as the author of several business publications. All of them are presented on the shelves of the bookstore.

АНО погрязла в долгах перед разными кредиторами и попросила «Скид» выкупить обязательства, обещая рассчитаться до 2022 года. Однако выплат на счета компании так и не поступило, что стало основанием для обращения в суд.

 Как отмечает « Фонтанка», в случае банкротства АНО в очереди кредиторов может оказаться не только «Скид». За 2022 год магазин успел получить 11 исковых заявлений на сумму более 10 млн. При этом самые крупные иски поступили от государственной корпорации ВЭБ.РФ и от «Сбербанка», выступающего в союзе с налоговиками Ленинградской области. Их требования составляют 2,9 млн и 1,2 млн соответственно.

The latter had to pay for the borrower in the amount of 75% of the amount owed in case the store could not pay on its own. The Writers' Bookstore could not repay its debts in time, having found itself in the abyss of litigation with Sberbank, and subsequently with the state corporation, which demanded to return the amount deposited with the guarantee.

It is known that the store itself is located in the historical building of St. Petersburg, where Wolf's bookstore was located more than a hundred years ago. The founders of the ANO are writers' unions. The premises for trading were once allocated to them free of charge. Despite this, from 2015 to 2020, the store remained unprofitable. Last year, the organization finished with a profit of 882 thousand, having received revenue of 27.6 million rubles.
