ASSOCIATION OF HAUTE COUTURE AND PRET-A-PORTER DECLARES BANKRUPTCY
At the end of last October, Rusbankrot published a material about a bankruptcy petition against a public organization, one of the founders of which was the famous fashion figure Valentin Yudashkin. The bankruptcy case, initiated by the individual entrepreneur Rishat Altynbaev and terminated at his request on March 3, was nevertheless continued in the arbitration court.
As a result, the association was declared bankrupt by initiation of bankruptcy proceedings. The court appointed Max Varnavsky as an interim manager for the next six months. It is known that the bankruptcy proceedings will be held in a simplified manner, since the interregional public organization is being liquidated. The main claim from the creditors included in the register was a debt of four hundred thousand rubles to the Beavers Decor firm.
Last year, the organization has already become a defendant in several claims for debt collection at once.
One of them was the claim of the entrepreneur Yuri Kupriyanov, who managed to get a court decision to recover 6.6 million rubles and 663 thousand rubles of a penalty from the association.
Representatives of the public organization tried to reduce at least the amount of a penalty by filing a petition with the court. They called the pandemic, which confused the plans to hold the Moscow Fashion Week at the end of March last year, to be a reason for the financial collapse. However, the lawyers failed to convince the court, since the debt did not arise in 2020, but three years earlier, when there was no trace of circumstances related to restrictions on the organization of mass events.
In October, the association's debts to Maxima and Beavers Decor for 6 million and 400 thousand rubles, respectively, found their way into the decisions of the Moscow Court of Arbitration.
After the bankruptcy case of the organization had actually been terminated on March 3 at the request of the creditor who initiated the process, Beavers Decor was able to intervene, having achieved the recognition of the organization as insolvent.
