ROSENERGOBANK DECLARED BANKRUPTCY OF BORIS NADEZHDIN
The Insurance Agency (DIA), representing the interests of the bankrupt Rosenergobank (JSC CB "REB"), appealed to the arbitration of the Moscow region with a claim for the insolvency of Russian politician Boris Nadezhdin. Consideration of the validity of the claim in this case (No. A41-39771/24) is scheduled for July 4, 2024. The amount of the Insurance Agency's claims against the defendant is unknown.

Nadezhdin became widely known on the eve of the last presidential elections of the Russian Federation. He wanted to take part in them. At the end of January, 105 thousand signatures of citizens who supported the politician as a nominee from the "Civil Initiative" for the role of presidential candidate were submitted to the Central Election Commission of the Russian Federation of the Russian Federation.

On February 8, the Central Election Commission of the Russian Federation refused to register him, recognizing 15% of documents with signatures of voters invalid. The politician tried to challenge the decision of the election commission in the Supreme Court, filing an appeal, but was unsuccessful. The appeal in March 2024 refused to consider his complaint against the act of the Central Election Commission.

JSC Commercial Bank ROSENERGOBANK received the status of a bankrupt bank in 2017. The credit institution has been operating in the Russian financial market since 1992. Initially, it was called Empils Bank, changing it only in 2022. The organization has participated in the deposit insurance system since 2005. But in April 2017, the regulator revoked the bank's license, and in May discovered a financial "hole" in the capital in the amount of 23.5 billion.

The bankruptcy procedure in the bank has not yet been completed. In September 2023, the court declared the former deputy chairman of the board of directors of the bank Gordon bankrupt at the request of the Deposit Insurance Agency. The amount of the applicant's claims against him (about 5.4 billion) was included in the register of creditors.
