INTERPROMBANK OF MOSCOW GOES BANKRUPT
The decision on the insolvency of Interprombank was made by the Moscow Arbitration Court.  Bankruptcy proceedings were opened on the basis of a claim accepted by the court from the Bank of Russia on June 16.

The license allowing Interprombank to carry out banking operations was revoked by the Central Bank on April 16.  The reason was the understatement of the amount of financial reserves by the bank's management and unjustified risks.
The credit institution worked with non-core assets to hide the real size of the risks.
The organization ended the last year with a loss of 3.9 billion rubles - this amount exceeded half of the bank's capital.  In a publication published by the DIA, it was reported that the amount of insurance would be 4.3 billion rubles.

The institution has been operating in Moscow since 1995.  For a long time, the companies from the military-industrial complex had been its strategic partners .  It is known that the beneficiary of the credit institution was Dmitry Mazurov. After his arrest in July 2019, the  rating of Interprombank's has significantly dropped.  The bank's loan portfolio was concentrated on working with oil and gas companies associated with Antipinsky Oil Refinery.
When Mazurov ceased to own shares of the bank, the family of Valery Ponomarev, who represents Kamchatka in the Federation Council, became the largest shareholder.
The Okeanrybflot shareholder and his wife own more than 26% of the shares.

In addition, Interprombank turned out to be a defendant in the case related to Yekaterina Sirotenko.  The financial assets of the wife of Mikhail Abyzov (a former minister in the Open Government) in the amount of 130.9 million rubles were arrested.  The woman asked to release the funds.  However, her application was rejected by the court.
