Zara and Bershka brands may return to Russia
After a temporary suspension of activities and the closure of stores in early March, some brands may return to Russia.  We are talking about the Spanish chain of clothing stores Inditex.  The company owns such brands as Zara, Stradivarius, Oysho, etc.

The company's manager Oscar Garcia Maceiras mentioned the possibility of returning to the Russian market last Wednesday. According to him, the textile group continues to monitor the situation around Ukraine, and will be ready to resume activities as soon as possible, TASS reports.

At the time of the suspension of activities in Russia, there were over 500 stores owned by Inditex.

The amount of profit from their activities, according to the company, was 8.5% of the total. In total, the number of outlets around the world reaches 7 thousand.

The suspension of the work of stores in both online and offline formats occurred on March 5. The corresponding announcement was made in connection with the conduct of a special military operation by the Russian Federation in Ukraine. Then the management of Inditex explained its decision by the impossibility of guaranteeing the continuity of business operations in the country. At the same time, employees continued to receive wages.

On February 24 this year, Vladimir Putin announced the start of a special military operation in response to requests for help from the heads of the Donbass republics. Against the backdrop of the outbreak of hostilities, the United States, the EU, and a number of other countries sharply condemned Russia's actions, which led to the introduction of unprecedented sanctions.
