WORLD HEALTH ORGANIZATION WARNS OF THIRD WAVE OF COVID-19
According to the World Health Organization, a third wave of coronavirus is likely in Europe in early 2021. This was announced by the special envoy of WHO David Nabarro.
In his opinion, European countries have not properly prepared for the second wave and are now forced to experience it in full.
In case of unproductive work on mistakes, the European continent will face another round of the fight against coronavirus in early 2021.
According to Nabarro, Europe has to solve a big problem, since on the one hand, the situation with the spread of coronavirus must be taken under control, but on the other hand, the strict isolation regime is too expensive for states.
In this sense, the countries of East Asia turned out to be the winners, since they have a better connection between the population and the government. In addition, in these states, even after lifting the restrictions, no one ruled out preventive measures.
According to the director of the Institute of Public Health named after F.F. Erisman Nikolay Briko, vaccination can save the situation with the spread of coronavirus, but only if more than 60% of the population of different social and age groups are vaccinated.
The scientist also noted the proven destructive effect of high temperatures and humidity on the virus, and therefore the spread of coronavirus may decline by the summer of 2021.
