WORLD HEALTH ORGANIZATION EXPLAINED THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN THE SYMPTOMS OF FLU AND CORONAVIRUS

The World Health Organization recalled that flue and coronavirus have a number of common symptoms, but it is still possible to distinguish between these two diseases. First of all, the shortbreathing, anosmia and ageusia are the symptoms of covid.

As reported by RIA Novosti, the WHO noted that both flu and coronavirus are characterized by sore throat, running nose, fever, cough, and fatigue. However, you should be especially cautious if you have a temperature higher 38 degrees, along with the shortness of breath and loss of smell and taste.

In severe cases of coronavirus, patients also complain of the loss of appetite, confusion of thoughts, pain and pressure in the chest.

The organization recalled that if such symptoms appear, you should immediately contact a doctor. Pregnant women, elderly people, children under 5 years of age and citizens with chronic diseases, who have mild symptoms, should seek medical treatment as well.

Earlier, the experts from a medical center in Portland pointed out the danger of simultaneous infection with flue and coronavirus, since it causes double immunity burden. Such a development of events complicates the treatment process, and the risk of death increases. The likelihood of contracting two viruses at once is high among the elderly people, pregnant women, and people with chronic asthma, diabetes or heart diseases.

We should recall that since November 6, more than 20 thousand coronavirus cases have been recorded in Russia every day. On November 11, the situation changed slightly and statistics for the first time in 5 days dropped to 19.8 thousand cases. In the spring, at the peak of the incidence rate, this figure was around 11.6 thousand new patients per day.
