World Health Organization announces the Coronavirus pandemic
The World Health Organization claimed that the situation with the spread of coronavirus has become a pandemic. The head of the organization, Tedros Adhan Ghebreyesus, warned that an increase in the number of deaths is expected in the nearest future.

Gebreyesus also noted that the number of countries, affected by the disease, would soon grow. Currently infected people are already present in 114 countries, the total number of cases exceeds 118 thousand people, and more than 4200 people have died.

At the same time, the WHO reported that in 81 countries not a single case of coronavirus was recorded, and other 57 countries had less than 10 cases, which is a positive trend. The organization called on the “clean” countries to prevent the importation of the disease, and states with a small number of infected countries “to prevent everything at the very beginning”. But even in countries with a high number of patients, further spread can be avoided, the WHO summed up.

For today, 28 cases of coronavirus infection have been recorded in Russia (most of these people have recently returned from Italy).

Among the patients there is a child, however, he does not have symptoms of infection - he is a virus carrier. Due to the situation with coronavirus in Russia, sports and mass events with a population of over 5 thousand people were canceled before April 10. For this reason, the sale of tickets for many concerts and football matches was limited, some of the events were simply rescheduled by organizers.

Due to the tense situation in Russia, it was also decided to restrict air links with Germany, Spain and France from March 13.

However, there will be several “Aeroflot” flights. Earlier, Russia stopped flights to Italy, China, South Korea and Iran.

We should note that coronavirus infection was confirmed by many foreign politicians. The actor Tom Hanks also reported the infection - he and his wife became infected with the coronavirus on the set in Australia, where 128 cases of the disease were confirmed. In his message, the actor indicated that he felt a slight fever and fatigue, as with a cold.
