Which Russian regions have the most affordable housing
Experts have calculated in which Russian regions it is easiest for a family of three to buy a typical apartment, and where it will take 1.5 decades, or even more. The northern regions of the country are named among the leaders in the ratio of the salary level to the cost of housing.

As for those subjects where you will have to save slowly and for a long time, the south is leading here, but not only.

Yamalo-Nenets and Nenets Autonomous Okrugs, as well as Magadan, can boast of the most affordable housing in Russia.

Here, due to the high level of salaries and the relatively inexpensive cost per square meter, a family with one child will need only a few years to save up for an apartment of 60 square meters.

The most deplorable situation in this sense is observed in Kabardino-Balkaria, where potential buyers of an apartment will have to save for 17 years to buy a family home. A little less in time — about 16 years — will be needed for residents of Stavropol and Crimea, in Chechnya and Altai this period will be about 14 years. Such a significant gap in the terms of accumulation is associated with the level of salaries. Families simply will not be able to save a lot for the purchase of their real estate.

In general, there is a tendency in Russia to increase the period during which it is necessary to save money to buy an apartment. If last year this time interval was 4.7 years, then this year it is already 5.7 years. Experts attribute this phenomenon to the fact that the dynamics of wage growth simply does not keep up with the increase in housing prices, RIA Novosti reports.
