What did Russian troops do in Ukraine?
On February 24, the head of the Russian state announced a plan to ‘demilitarize and denazify’ the territory of Ukraine.  In the evening of the same day, the information service of the Russian Defense Ministry held a briefing at which it said that the Russian military had successfully completed all the tasks.

According to the Russian department, 83 ground facilities of the Ukrainian Armed Forces were put out of action.  Four combat aircraft (Su-27 and Su-24), a helicopter and four attack drones of the Bayraktar TB-2 model were shot down.

Major General Igor Konashenkov said that the Russian military had reached Kherson.  For this, airborne landing and raid detachments were used.
As a result, the military managed to unblock the North Crimean Canal, through which water from the Dnieper flowed to the Crimea.
We should remind our readers that in the period of the USSR, the canal that provided 85% of the needs of Crimea in fresh water.  In 2014, the Ukrainian authorities blocked it.

According to the Kommersant media outlet, the Russian military managed to seize the Zmeiny Island in the Odessa region (the territory is 16.7 thousand square meters).  Kimmersant refers to the message of the border service of Ukraine, which reported that the island located in the Black Sea near the border with Romania was captured and its infrastructure was destroyed.

The media also reports the start of a digital war that the Anonymous group has declared against the Russian government.  In particular, the RT website was attacked.  It is reported that starting from 17-00 Moscow time, the Internet resource was subjected to cyber attacks.  The territory of the United States became the source of 27% of the ongoing DDoS attacks.
A series of uncoordinated actions, at which citizens protested against the war, took place yesterday in the largest cities of the Russian Federation.
Protests were held in Yekaterinburg, Novosibirsk, St. Petersburg, Moscow and other cities.  According to the capital's Ministry of Internal Affairs, about 600 people were detained.  They all were taken to police stations for further investigation.
