URBAN GROUP MAY BE IMPLICATED IN MACHINATIONS FOR 5 BILLION RUBLES
Urban Group developer, which went bankrupt three years ago, is once again at the epicenter of a scandal. The deputy of the State Duma of the Russian Federation Alexander Yakubovsky asks to check three companies affiliated with Urban Group for signs of crime.
The corresponding claim has already been submitted to the police and the prosecutor's office. According to the parliamentarian, before the bankruptcy, the Urban Group transferred over 460 apartments to three related companies.
The premises were located in unfinished residential complexes, and their total cost exceeded 5 billion rubles.
After the developer had been declared insolvent, the objects of unfinished construction left by him in a number of residential complexes were transferred to the Fund for the Protection of Citizens' Rights. The organization, in turn, began to complete the construction using budget funds and with the involvement of contracting companies.
But according to Yakubovsky's report, there are three companies affiliated with the developer among those wishing to get apartments, reports
Izvestia. Along with other companies, they claim more than 460 real estate objects, because of which the budget may receive less than 5 billion rubles, concluded the parliamentarian.
In his claim, Yakubovsky asks to check the management of companies affiliated with the developer for criminal activity and bring the perpetrators to criminal responsibility.
