UKRAINIAN PLANE STOLEN BY UNKNOWN PERSONS IN AFGHANISTAN
The plane, which was supposed to evacuate Ukrainians from Afghanistan, was seized by unknown persons - they transported passengers to Iran on it.

Deputy Foreign Minister of Ukraine Yevgeniy Yenin told about the situation on the air of Public Radio - the incident took place in Kabul last Tuesday.  The plane was actually stolen from Ukraine.  Instead of taking Ukrainian citizens home, the liner transported a group of people to the territory of Iran.
The people hijacked the plane were armed.
Yenin noted that the next three attempts to evacuate the Ukrainians were unsuccessful as well, since they could not get to the airport.  What happened to the plane in the future is not reported.  However, the Foreign Ministry spokesman stressed out that Ukrainian diplomats had been working in a ‘crash test’ regime for the whole week

Later, the citizens of Ukraine were able to return to their homeland - three evacuation flights have already been carried out.  There are about 100 more Ukrainians in Afghanistan waiting for their evacuation.

The Kabul airport is under US and NATO control and is used to evacuate Americans and Afghan allies.  As a result of the stampede and shooting at the airport, more than 20 people have already died.

We should remind our readers that on August 15, Taliban militants (a terrorist organization banned in the Russian Federation) entered the capital of Afghanistan, having seized the power in the country.

UPD: the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine denied information about hijacking of the plane.
