TWO WOMEN BECAME THE FATAL VICTIM OF A SHARK IN HURGHADA
In Egypt, since the beginning of July, two women have already died, victims of the killer shark. The authorities of the country did not have time to react on a large scale to the death of the first victim in the area of the Hurghada resort of Sahl Hasheesh, which was attacked by a predatory shark on July 1, as a second body was soon discovered.

The death of the first victim became known almost immediately. The event happened in front of many tourists who filmed the shark attack from the pier of one of the hotels. Tourists tried to distract the sea predator from its prey. The woman was left without an arm and a leg. At first she was in a state of shock on the corals, showing her arm or leg.

Subsequently, it was found that the victim of the shark was an Austrian citizen, 68-year-old Elizabeth Squier, who was married to a resident of Egypt and lived in the city.

The authorities promptly imposed a three-day ban on diving, fishing, snorkeling and swimming for all lovers of marine entertainment in the Sahl Hasheesh area.

A couple of days later, it became known about the death of another woman. Her body was also found in the area of Hurghada. It is assumed that the victim was a Romanian tourist of one of the luxury hotels located near the scene of the tragedy.

Currently, all the circumstances of the incident are being studied by experts. The Consulate General of the Russian Federation in Hurghada appealed to the Russians in Egypt to be vigilant and not to violate the prohibitions on being at sea, which are established by local authorities. One of the possible reasons for the incident, a number of media outlets call a flooded vessel, which could have thousands of sheep, which attracted sharks.
