TURKISH AIRLINES ARE PLANNING TO RESUME THE FLIGHTS TO RUSSIA ON AUGUST 1
Turkish Airlines Company announced its intention to resume the flights to Russia on August 1. For the moment, we are talking about six Russian cities.
Turkish Airlines has published a statement on its official website. However, it should be noted that previously, the airline announced the resumption of the flights to Russia from June, and then from July 16. For this reason, it is difficult to call the start of air communication from August 1 an absolutely resolved issue.
The experts have already commented on the statement of the Turkish Airlines, recalling that the intention of the airline is not enough. Russia should open the borders and allow the flights.
It should be noted that Turkey is not put in the preliminary priority list of the Federal Service for Supervision of Consumers Protection.
If the plans of Turkish Airlines are realized, then the aircraft will begin to fly to Moscow, St. Petersburg, Sochi, Kazan, Krasnodar and Rostov-on-Don on August 1. It is estimated that the company will operate 32 flights per week. At the same time, the airline is willing to open air links with Moscow first, and then to add St. Petersburg and other cities.
It is also worth adding that neither Turkey nor Russia have made any official statements on the resumption of the air traffic yet.
