TOURISTS FROM RUSSIA WILL TRAVEL TO EGYPT, UAE AND MALDIVES

The government announced the resumption of flights to the UAE, Maldives and Egypt. It is known that Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin has already signed an appropriate order.

The document was published on the website of the government http://government.ru/docs/40329/ . It states that three planes a week will fly from Russia to Egypt (Cairo), two planes a week to the UAE (Dubai), and two planes a week to the Republic of Maldives (Velana).

It is reported that the decision to open the borders with these countries was made by the operational headquarters, based on statistics on the incidence of coronavirus. According to these criteria, there should be no more than 40 new infections within 14 days per 100 thousand of the population, no more than 1% of daily growth in two weeks and the prevalence rate of Covid-19 should be no more than 1 in 7 days.

The government notes that the principles of reciprocity are important for resumption of the air traffic.

The number of flights to Switzerland is also increasing – there will be up to four flights per week. Aeroflot will fly to Geneva twice a week and the Swiss Air to Zurich twice a week as well. Previously, the flights from Russia to Switzerland were carried out only once a week.
