The police put Ramazan Gadzhiev, the son of the Police Colonel Minatula Gadzhiev, head of the Middle Volga Linear Directorate of the Ministry of Internal Affairs on transport, on the wanted list. A 19-year-old boy is suspected by law enforcement agencies of a major scam, organized like a financial pyramid.
Ramazan Gadzhiev himself believes that he was ‘set up’. The young man said that he had no desire to deceive users on Instagram. In his account, on behalf of ‘Vitaly Krikunov’ (nickname @v.krknv), subscribers were offered a simple scheme for financial enrichment.
At the same time, videos and photos in which Gadzhiev demonstrated the luxurious life of a financial genius were posted online with comments about successful transactions with cryptocurrency and other forms of passive income. In an advertisement purchased last fall, on behalf of Krikunov, subscribers were asked to ‘invest’ by transferring a certain amount to the owner’s bank card in order to receive their money back with a 30% profit a couple of weeks later.
The victims of the scam were initially satisfied with the enrichment scheme, transferring more and more money onto the specified card.
In the social network, people shared information with acquaintances and friends, tempting them with easy money. However, in December 2021, the author of the account stopped communicating with ‘investors’, and information began to be hastily deleted from the page itself. The citizens have not received their money back, as well as the promised interest.
According to the law enforcement agencies, more than 2,000 people may be victims of the scam. Among the victims, there are residents of Yekaterinburg, Ufa, Chelyabinsk and other cities. The most gullible are the residents of the Satkinsky district of the Chelyabinsk region, from whom more than 50 statements to the police were received.
It is also known that numerous threats have already begun to be received against Ramazan Gadzhiev on social networks.
They will have to be considered by the police authorities, where close young men sent a statement demanding to bring those responsible under article 119 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation.
The Gadzhiev family expects to defend their good name, and the young man himself blames Olga Stryapkova, to whom he transferred the account for perpetual use under an agreement, for what happened. Gadzhiev calls himself an actor who was unaware of fraud with his advertising photos and videos.
