In the city of Pushkino in Moscow Region, a woman cooking food on the Eternal Flame monument was detained. A criminal case has already been initiated on the fact of desecration of graves.
According to RIA Novosti, a 65-year-old resident of Krasnoarmeysk was detained. She was cooking scrambled eggs in a frying pan outside the Grieving Mother memorial complex.
The case was opened under article 244 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation.
A few days earlier, a similar incident happened in Volgograd - a drunk man lit a cigarette from the Eternal Flame at a mass grave in the city center. The offender was detained, and a criminal case was also initiated against him for desecration of grave. It is known that the man was released on recognizance not to leave.
In 2017, a criminal case was initiated against a 16-year-old teenager from Orekhovo-Zuevo, who danced next to the Eternal Flame - a case was opened under the article “Hooliganism”. And in 2015, in the Tula region, schoolchildren aged 12 and 14 fried potatoes on the Eternal Flame, after which they burned the wreaths standing there. They had an educational conversation with the officials and a criminal case was initiated for desecration.
