THE MORTALITY ALMOST TWICE EXCEEDED THE BIRTH RATE IN NOVOSIBIRSK

According to the data of the Civil Registry Office of the Novosibirsk Region, the death rate in the region in October exceeded the birth rate by 1.7 times. Compared to last year, this figure has grown by 37%.

In October, 4,279 deaths were recorded in the Novosibirsk region. Experts associate the situation with the spread of the coronavirus. It is worth noting that the increase in mortality occurred only during the second wave of covid - in early October, the regional Ministry of Health officially recognized its beginning.

According to the official data, the mortality rate from coronavirus in the Novosibirsk region is 4%.

If we consider Siberia, then in terms of mortality, Novosibirsk is ahead only of the Altai Territory. Due to the second wave of coronavirus in the Novosibirsk region, the provision of regular medical services in many areas has been suspended - the Ministry of Health of the region noted that the speech was about the treatment areas, the absence of which would not lead to a serious deterioration in health. What is more, all the professional examinations were canceled.

As of November 3, 18,648 new cases of coronavirus were recorded in Russia. 355 patients have died and 15,331 have recovered. Currently, the number of active cases is approaching 400,000.
