THE EXPERTS WARN OF THE SECOND WAVE OF CORONAVIRUS IN RUSSIA

According to immunologists, a second wave of coronavirus is expected in autumn. If to rely on these concerns, the restrictions can be completely lifted only in February next year, said the head of the Russian Ministry of Health, Mikhail Murashko.  

However, immunologists believe that the restrictions that have been faced by Russians in April will not be introduced any more. The reason is that in the most cases, the disease has almost asymptomatic course. But still, the final decision will be made by the officials, and not by the scientific experts.

It is noted that the largest number of patients infected with coronavirus is expected by this fall. However, the experts say the same about other respiratory diseases.

Immunologist Mikhail Kostinov spoke out on the date of lifting the restrictions. He believes that talking about a certain month might be possible only after the conclusion, based on the epidemiological situation is made by the epidemiologists’ council.

It is necessary to recall that Mikhail Murashko have previously noted that it would be possible to return to normal life only in 2021, after half of the population has developed the immunity to the virus.
