The Head of the St. Petersburg Research Institute of Epidemiology and Microbiology named after V.I. Pasteur Areg Totolyan states that there is a certain group of people who are not exposed to Covid-19 infection even through direct repeated contact with patients.

As reported by RIA Novosti, the scientists have not figured out the reasons for this phenomenon yet. However, they noticed that some people do not get infected even after contact with not just sick people, but with virus-releasers. Areg Totolyan noted that this situation cannot be explained by the usual use of personal protective equipment.

Biomarkers to determine why infections do not occur have notbeen found yet.

Earlier, the head of the Federal Service for Consumer Rights Protection and Human Welfare, Anna Popova, reported that the covid in Russia was in its previous positions - it has not become stronger, has not mutated, but it has not weaken either. Experts note that the formation of immunity is necessary so that the epidemic could subside. The representative of the Federal Service for Consumer Rights Protection and Human Welfare Natalya Pshenichnaya previously stated that the coronavirus would be active for about 1.5 years.

We should recall that due to the deterioration of the epidemiological situation on October 28, the department introduced a nation – wide mask regime in the territory of the Russian Federation, and a ban on the work of establishments from 11 pm to 6 am was recommended as well. However, the Moscow authorities have already announced that the establishments in the capital would not be closed – you just need a QR code to visit them.
