THE EUROPE IS NOT READY TO WELCOME TOURISTS FROM RUSSIA

The Russian Federation was not included in the list of countries for which Europe will open its borders on 1 July. The EU made this decision due to the difficult epidemiological situation in Russia.

Representatives of the EU noted that the decision is quite expected, since the coronavirus reached Russia later than Europe - before the borders are opened, the country should overcome the disease. Moreover, the list of countries, citizens of which might enter the territory of the European Union will be constantly analyzed.  

The list of countries will be reconsidered every two weeks.

For Russia, everything will become clear as soon as the epidemiological situation is stabilized. At the same time, the EU side noted that they are interested in the resumption of flights between Russia and Europe.

Russia is not the only country the citizens of which cannot enter the European Union. Due to the situation with coronavirus, restrictions also apply to the citizens of the United States and Brazil. It is interesting that Russians are not expected even in Turkey and Tunisia. However, there is a possibility that Turkey will open its borders from 15 July.

The experts note that Russia is so far included in the "red" zone for the incidence of coronavirus.

For the other countries could open their borders to Russians, it is necessary to leave the list of top ten countries in terms of the incidence of Covid-19. Another important point is the fact that Russia should open the borders in response, but the head of the Federal Tourism Agency Zarina Doguzova says that so far there is no clear understanding of when this will happen.
