THE CRIMINAL CASE OF TSVETKOVA'S "VAGINA MONOLOGUES" ENDED WITH ACQUITTAL
The trial lasted 3 years and ended with an acquittal in the court of first instance. Currently, the judicial act has not entered into force and Tsvetkova's supporters are awaiting an appeal from the prosecutor's office.
The details of the case have not yet been reported, since in 2021 the court closed the hearings from the public. This was due to the fact that the images published by the artist, recognized as pornographic, were evaluated as evidence on them.
In addition to criminal prosecution, the artist was also brought to administrative responsibility for promoting non-traditional relationships (the artist herself is an LGBTQ activist) among minors.
