THE COURT: THE ‘MEN'S STATE’ IS AN EXTREMIST ORGANIZATION
The court of Nizhny Novgorod recognized the ‘The men’s state’ association as an extremist organization after the claim filed by the prosecutor's office and banned its activities on the territory of the Russian Federation.  Thus, the claim was satisfied in full.

According to TASS, the defense of the leader and founder of the ‘The men’s state’ Vladislav Pozdnyakov said that they would appeal the decision. The lawyer Dzambolat Gabaraev noted that the court's decision did not comply with the principles of legality.

Pozdnyakov himself did not appear in court.

The prosecutor's office insisted that the ‘The men’s state’ promoted patriarchy and nationalism. The association had subsidiaries in 20 Russian regions that were engaged in attracting new members. The prosecutor's office concluded that the ‘The men’s state’ had an organized structure and had the goal of promoting the national-patriarchal ideology.

The lawyer did not agree with the prosecutor's office and added that after the blocking of the VKontakte community in 2020, Pozdnyakov was no longer the leader of the movement. Allegedly, the ‘The men’s state’ is currently being dealt with by ‘initiative guys’ and the community itself supports traditional values: family, healthy attitude towards women and children.

We should remind our readers that ‘The men’s state’ arranges the persecution of women and representatives of LGBT on a regular basis.

In the summer, the representatives of the movement chose the Tanuki restaurant chain as a ‘victim’ for advertising with black models. Members of the ‘The men’s state’ were making orders in cash, and then canceled them, forcing the company to incur losses. However, Tanuki did not step back - its representatives said that they would continue to publish representatives of different races, religions and orientations. As a result, ‘Tanuki’ turned to the law enforcement officers, after which the prosecutor's office got interested in the case.
