“THE CHICKS” SERIES MAY BE BANNED FOR PROMOTION OF LGBT

Olga Baranets, the public commissioner for the protection of the family, appealed to the Federal Service for Supervision in the Sphere of Telecom, Information Technologies and Mass Communications with a statement about a necessity to block the “Chik” series which was released recently.

According to Baranets, the series produced by the "NMG Studio" film company promotes LGBT and feminism, and can also negatively affect the psyche of the younger generation. In addition, the images of men in “The Chicks", according to the applicant, are "a collection of pimps, former criminals and bandits".

In addition to blocking the series itself, Baranets asks to bring the management of the MORE.TV online service, on which “The Chiks” was released, to the administrative responsibility.

Commenting on the current situation, the film company "NMG Studios" and MORE.TV stated that they had not received any official statements, and the series was available only for a fee and by subscription, which is issued separately on the website. Besides, "The Chicks" have an age limit of 18+.

According to the representatives of the filming company and online service, the series pays special attention to the various social problems - both the importance of changing the social roles and the importance of family for children.

Russian TV series "The Chiks" tells the story of four representatives of the oldest profession from the province, who decided to radically change their lives by opening their own business. Despite the fact that the girls are different, they are united by the absence of a full-fledged happy family.
