THAILAND IS READY TO WELCOME RUSSIAN TOURISTS

An active discussion on the issue of resumption of flights is currently being held between Russia and Thailand. It is assumed that this will happen in the next month.

Vladimir Kim, the representative of the Russian Embassy in Thailand, announced the negotiations on the resumption of air traffic, since both countries are interested in this. According to Izvestia newspaper, the authorities of Thailand have already made small concessions, allowing the foreigners with relatives in the country or a study / work permit to enter the country.

The experts from the hospitality and travel industry believe that the Caribbean countries, island states and Thailand may open the borders soon. When it comes to Vietnam, the prospect with it looks unclear, since the second wave of coronavirus with a high number of cases has begun in the country.

Russia may resume the air traffic only with countries that meet the certain criteria - the increase in patients with coronavirus should not exceed 1% per day for two weeks.

We should recall that the day before, an outbreak of coronavirus has been recorded in Turkey, which resumed the air traffic with Russia on August 1. The head of the Ministry of Health Fahrettin Koca said that if the growth continued, radical measures would have to be taken.
