SOBYANIN ASKED MOSCOW COMPANIES TO SHIFT TO REMOTE WORKING

In connection with the epidemiological situation in the capital, the Mayor of the city turned to the heads of large Moscow organizations with a request to transfer some of the employees to remote work. The headquarters of Sergei Sobyanin has already confirmed this information; according to preliminary data, the letters were sent to more than 5,000 companies.

Earlier, it was also reported about Sobyanin's recommendation, which was given to the employers in Moscow, to extend the remote work of their employees, if possible.

The measures are aimed at reducing the social activity of citizens in connection with the emerging increase in the incidence of COVID-19.

In September, for the first time since the end of June 2020, the number of new cases of the disease per day exceeded 1,000 people. According to the metropolitan authorities, the fewer movements around the city and interactions between people, the more stable the situation with the spread of the coronavirus will be.

The position of the Mayor of Moscow was also supported by the representatives of the Ministry of Health, which stated that in their opinion, the employers should consider the proposal to work remotely in a situation where it does not harm the activities of companies.

President Vladimir Putin also indicated that Russians should not relax and forget about the fight against COVID-19, otherwise, the authorities would have to take drastic measures to return the restrictions.
