In accordance with the statistical indicators of the Federal State Statistics Service for the New Year's table, Russians buy 1 kg of chicken and meat, 0.5 kg of smoked meat products and raw smoked sausages, 0.5 kg of smoked (or salted) fish delicacies. The list also includes 350 g of canned fish, 200 g of caviar, 300 g of cheese, 200 g of butter, 350 g of bread products, ½ loaf of rye bread, 500 g of canned vegetables.

Among other products, there are 800 g of potatoes, 500 g of tomatoes and cucumbers each, 600 g of apples, 1 kg of oranges, 200 g of lemons, 500 g of sweets and a cake.

Federal State Statistics Service also included alcohol drinks in the list of products - 1 bottle of champagne, 1 bottle of vodka and 1bottle of cognac.

Last year, a similar food set was estimated at 6468 rubles. The rise in prices occurred due to the growing prices of potatoes, caviar, canned fish, oranges, apples and cucumbers. At the same time, chicken and sausage, on the contrary, fell in price.

It should be noted that the price of the New Year's table differs depending on the region. For example, the cheapest set of products can be purchased in the Republic of Ingushetia – its price is 3779 rubles. In addition to them, more than 8,000 rubles for the New Year's table might be spent in Magadan, Murmansk and Sakhalin regions, in Yakutia, Kamchatka Krai and in Moscow.
