It became known that Russia was not included in the list of countries for which the European Union is ready to open its borders for the second time. The official document has not yet been published, but according to the media reports, the decision has already been made.
The next reconsideration of the list will take place in mid-August. At the moment, the European Union is ready to open the borders for 13 countries - it is assumed that this list is unlikely to be expanded. On the contrary, it is likely to be reduced due to the changeable epidemiological situation.
The reason is clear and quite logical - in many countries, an increase in the incidence of coronavirus is reported. Instead of lifting the restrictions, it is likely that they will be strengthened.
The list of the EU countries which was made in June included 14 countries and China, provided that the latter also opens its borders to the Europeans (by the way, it never opened the borders).
Two countries were excluded from the July list of the European Union - Serbia and Montenegro, where a significant increase in the incidence was noted.
The citizens of Tunisia, Georgia, Algeria, Japan, Australia, South Korea, Thailand, New Zealand, Canada, Morocco, Rwanda and Uruguay can now visit Europe.
