RUSSIANS WILL BE ALLOWED INTO CYPRUS FROM AUGUST 28

It became known that Cyprus has included Russia in the list of countries, for citizens of which, the borders are now open. However, there are several details.

First, the Russians will need to comply with a 14-day quarantine – due to the fact that the Russian Federation was included in the number of countries from category "C" in terms of the epidemiological situation. In addition, Cyprus is not waiting for all Russian citizens, but only for those who will have a certificate of the absence of coronavirus received no earlier than 72 hours before the arrival. If there is no certificate, tourists should be ready to take a test on the spot.

However, even the presence of a certificate does not guarantee the entry into the Republic of Cyprus.

The fact is that the country has developed the specific criteria - only the citizens of Cyprus, members of their families and persons with a Cypriot residence permit can enter it. In addition, the borders are open to diplomats and, finally, to those who have a special permit to enter.

By the end of the 14-day quarantine, Russians will have to undergo another coronavirus test - 48 hours before the end of the period. At the same time, the Cypriot authorities emphasize that the costs of the tests should be borne by the citizens of the Russian Federation.

If the second test is negative, the self-isolation period will end.

It is worth noting that if the epidemiological situation in the Russian Federation improves, the country will be transferred to "B" list - in this case, a certificate of the absence of coronavirus is still required, but the quarantine period is not required. If the state moves to "A" group, then its citizens will not need anything, except a passport and an immigration card.
