RUSSIANS SHOWED SUPPORT FOR NAVALNY ON VALENTINE’S DAY
On February 14, rallies in support of Yulia and Alexei Navalny were held in Moscow and St. Petersburg. In the afternoon, the organizers gathered women with white ribbons and flowers, and in the evening, at the initiative of Leonid Volkov, who is the head of Navalny's headquarters, people took to the streets to turn on the their mobile phone flashlights in solidarity.

The action was called "Love is stronger than fear". Moreover, in both cases, the police did not intervene in what was happening, watching from the side. In Moscow, flash mob with a white ribbon was held on Arbat, in St. Petersburg - on Voskresenskaya embankment.

Women, lined up in a chain and holding a ribbon in their hands, shouted slogans in support of Yulia Navalnaya.

The organizers offered coffee, tea and sweets to the audience. During evening outings with flashlights, public figures were noticed as well. Among them, there were Ksenia Sobchak and Tatyana Lazareva, who joined the action at Patriarshiye Ponds.

The participants of the flash mob literally went out onto the pond: people stood on the ice and flashed their phones.

It should be noted that the police did not interfere with the actions. Similar actions took place at Manezhnaya and Pushkinskaya squares, near the building of Moscow State University, as well as in Sokolniki. The hashtag # loveisstrongerthanfear came out on top on Russian Twitter.
