RUSSIAN “HOLLYWOOD” MAY APPEAR IN KALININGRAD CITY

It is planned to build a movie town called Kaliwood in Kaliningrad. The Kaliningrad’s Cathedral is the customer, while the role of the performer went to the Arthur Sarnitz-Königsberg company.

The terms of the tender can be found on the website, while it is curious that the procurement procedure was carried out from a single supplier.

Now the company, which has received the right to work on the project, will have to provide a project of the cinema site, as well as an album with plans and views.

It is already known that it is planned to place hangars and a motel on the allocated territory, as well as to decorate the facades of existing buildings in the style of a European town, lay out paving stones.

At the same time, the press service of the Cathedral explained that the primary goal of the work is to reconstruct the production facilities, which are located on the territory selected for the movie town.

New construction is not planned, there will only be a reconstruction of the existing premises, where the office of the cathedral is located.

At the same time, filmmaking will become only one of the functions of the new space, reports New Kaliningrad media.
