RUSSIAN FEDERAL STATE AGENCY FOR HEALTH AND CONSUMER RIGHTS OBLIGED RUSSIANS RETURNING FROM ABROAD TO TAKE COVID TESTS
The situation with the spread of coronavirus infection became the reason for tightening the measures by the Russian Federal State Agency for Health and Consumer Rights again. This time, the introduced rules will concern mandatory PCR tests for those citizens who return from abroad to Russia.

According to the press service of the department, all Russians coming from abroad will be obliged to:

  • fill in a special form on the State Services portal before arrival;
  • pass a PCR test for COVID-19 within three days from the moment of arrival;
  • self-isolate before receiving a negative test result;
  • upload the test result to the State Services portal.

The requirement comes into force on April 15 and will be applied not only to those returning by air, but also to everyone else.

Another measure to curb the spread of coronavirus infection was the suspension of the sale of tours and flights with Turkey and Tanzania for a month and a half. The ban comes into force on April 15.

According to experts, the decision of the authorities deprived about half a million Russians of the planned vacation.

According to Tatyana Golikova, flights from Moscow to Istanbul and back will be organized twice a week for the period of the ban. Thus, tourists who are on vacation in the country will be able to return to their homeland.
