QR CODES WILL BE REQUIRED TO ENTER THE “MCDONALDS” RESTAURANTS IN MOSCOW

The management of the McDonald’s restaurant chain announced the introduction of a QR code system in Moscow. This is necessary, as the visitors can receive an alert if a coronavirus is detected in some of the restaurant’s visitors, who were in the same place at the same time.

The check-in system will be gradually introduced in all 189 McDonald's outlets of Moscow, including those in shopping centers. The measures were decided to be introduced due to the active spread of the coronavirus - visitors of the restaurants establishments will be able to learn about potential contacts with the infected.

If some of the visitors, who were at McDonald’s at the same time, are found to have a covid, the rest will receive alerts.

Now, to visit a restaurant, you need to scan a QR code and confirm your phone number, or send a message in a special format. It is noted that no other information about the visitor is required.
