PESKOV: PEOPLE REFUSING A COVID-19 VACCINE WILL FACE THE RISK OF BECOMING UNEMPLOYED
Presidential spokesman Dmitry Peskov said that despite the fact that vaccination against covid-19 is voluntary, the employees of service sector must be vaccinated. Otherwise, they ‘should look for another job’.

Peskov told reporters that if a resident of Moscow works in the service sector, then he (she) should be a vaccinated. If the person does not want to do it, then he (she) needs to change his occupation. The presidential spokesman advised such people to look for work in areas where vaccinations are optional.

A Kremlin spokesman noted that in the face of a surge in morbidity, unvaccinated service workers pose a danger to society.

Peskov also recalled that the heads of regions make decisions on the need for vaccination on their own. At the moment, all efforts are aimed at stopping the increase in the number of cases.

In Moscow, a resolution was issued by the chief sanitary doctor, according to which at least 60% of employees in the spheres of catering, transport, trade, services and couriers must be vaccinated.

In Russia, there is a serious increase in the incidence - over the past day, more than 20 thousand new patients have been identified. The last time such figures were observed in January 2021. Moscow remains the leader in morbidity (over 8.5 thousand), followed by St. Petersburg (2.3 thousand), Nizhny Novgorod region (299), Buryatia (258), Voronezh region (223). The authorities of Buryatia announced a lockdown in the region from June 27 to July 11.
