OVER 30,000 RUSSIAN CHILDREN HAVE STATUS OF SELF-EMPLOYED
The head of the Federal Tax Service Daniil Egorov, making a speech at the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum, announced the statistics of the self-employed in Russia. The report said that the number of children registered in this status (persons under the age of seventeen) exceeded 30 thousand.

At the same time, most of the self-employed are registered in the Magadan region. As for people of retirement age, there are also many of them.

More than 79 thousand people over 60 years old have this status, and the oldest self-employed in Russia is 96 years old.

Egorov voiced a breakdown by gender: there are fewer self-employed women than men (only 39%). And the professions in which people work have a clear gender division, concluded the head of the Federal Tax Service.

While women provide services in the fields of beauty, education and design, men work in the fields of car repair and plumbing, maintenance and electrical engineering.

As for the total number of self-employed in the country, their number has already reached 2.4 million people.

The self-employed have replenished the state treasury with taxes in the total amount of 12 billion rubles.

Earlier, the business ombudsman Boris Titov expressed his intention to remove a number of restrictive measures from the self-employed, as well as grant them the right to make contributions to the Social Insurance Fund. The initiative is contained in the materials prepared for the annual report to the President.
