NEW CORONAVIRUS IN BEIJING IS RECOGNIZED AS MORE DANGEROUS

It became known that the virus that was discovered in Beijing is more contagious than the well-known COVID-19, detected on the seafood market in Wuhan. This was announced by an expert in the field of virology, Yang Zhanqiu.

Yang Zhanqiu explained that over time, the strength of a virus can increase or decrease. When it comes to the new SARS-CoV-2, according to the expert, the virus is much more dangerous than the previous one.

We should recall that in December a piece of news about the discovery of a new dangerous virus came from the city of Wuhan. Already in mid-January 2020, there were 62 cases of infection in Wuhan - this number is close to the today's number of patients in Beijing.

Yang Zhanqiu notes that the first outbreak of the virus was influenced by the low temperatures of December, but now, in the summer, the virus will not be able to spread.

In his opinion, the difference between the Beijing situation and the situation in Wuhan is that today people and the state have enough knowledge and experience to prevent and combat the spread of terrible virus. He also noted that the emergence of new cases of infection inhibits the process of creating a vaccine.

Yang Zhanqiu added that if it becomes known that the coronavirus has been brought in with agricultural products, then China will have to be more careful about goods and products brought from other countries.

It is already known that after the discovery of the new virus, the Beijing Xinfadi market in the Fengtai area was closed. What is more, the Chinese authorities introduced quarantine and the emergency regime.

Over the past weekend, 76,499 people have been tested for coronavirus in Beijing. 59 patients turned out to be infected, and 42 more people were diagnosed with a positive coronavirus test by the Monday morning. 36 of them had complications, and in 6 cases, the symptoms were mild.
