MOSCOW CITIZENS WERE ALLOWED TO VISIT SUMMER CAFES WITHOUT QR CODES UNTIL JULY 12
On June 24, the Mayor of Moscow Sergei Sobyanin issued a new decree, according to which open verandas and terraces without QR codes are allowed in the capital. The exemption will be applied exclusively to the summer seasonal cafes.

Sobyanin stressed out that their work will be allowed from June 24 to July 11. The mayor also ruled that minors will be able to visit ‘covid-free’ restaurants without having their own QR codes, but only accompanied by adults.

From June 28, Moscow residents will be able to visit catering establishments only with personal of QR codes.

QR codes will be available to citizens who have been vaccinated, as well as to those who have had covid in the last six months or have a negative PCR test made no later than three days before the visit.

The mayor's office also explained that QR codes will not be necessary for guests of hotels and hostels if they eat at the accommodation facility. However, there should not be access to other citizens.

Canteens and cafes in educational institutions of the capital will also continue to work - students and employees will be able to dine there without QR codes. Other citizens will not be admitted to these establishments.

Upon presentation of the QR code, the restaurant employee will have to scan it with gadget’s camera, after which the link will be followed. It will display information about the validity of the QR code, as well as the full name, the last numbers of the passport and the date of birth, which will have to be verified with the documents.
