MONTENEGRO CLOSED THE BORDERS FOR THE TOURISTS FROM RUSSIA

Montenegro, like a number of other tourist countries, has begun to lift the restrictions, imposed due to the spread of COVID-19. Now the entrance to the country will be open for the tourists, but this does not apply to the tourists from Russia.

This decision was explained by the fact that today there are too many patients with coronavirus in Russia, the Prime Minister of Montenegro Dushko Markovich said.

The country's authorities are considering the possibility of opening borders for the tourists from the states with a more favorable epidemiological situation.

These include countries with a maximum of 25 patients with coronavirus account for 100 thousand citizens.

It is obvious that in Russia, the number of infected people exceeds the maximum, established by Montenegro, so the Russians will be able to visit the country after the improvement of the epidemiological situation. At the same time, the authorities of Montenegro specified that the situation is unstable and the conditions of entry might be changed.

We should note that on May 25, Montenegro announced a victory over the COVID-19 pandemic. According to the latest information, there were 324 cases of coronavirus in the country, 19 patients died and 315 recovered.

When it comes to Russia, according to official figures, there are 362 thousand confirmed patients in the country. 131 thousand people have recovered and 3807 patients have died.
