Access to Windows and Office updates has become available to Russians. Microsoft cloud software products are also still available for IT companies from the Russian Federation.
As Izvestia writes with reference to the Russoft association, the latest global update of the system - Windows 11 23H2 – can now be downloaded to computers by Russian users. In addition, Microsoft Office has become available for download. Previously, this feature was not available for IP addresses from the Russian Federation.
Such "concessions" to Russian users are due to the fact that the corporation does not want to lose the Russian market, according to Valentin Makarov, president of the Russoft Association.
"Even if the company claims the opposite in its statements, in private conversations they guaranteed full support for their software," Makarov stressed.
