MCDONALD’S WILL OPEN THE RESTAURANTS IN THE PEREKRESTOK SUPERMARKETS

It became known that McDonald's and X5 Retail Group have started cooperation - the fast food chain will open its restaurants on the territory of supermarkets. The test facility has already started operating in Moscow.

It is assumed that McDonald's points will appear in St. Petersburg and in the Moscow region in the stores of Perekrestok chain. The restaurants will operate directly inside the supermarkets - the format is being tested so far, both companies are interested in adapting it. The first McDonald's restaurant has been opened in Moscow's Perekrestok, located in the Khimki League shopping center.

Thus, both companies are trying to increase the flow of customers.

They hope this will help them learn more about consumer habits and increase customer credibility.

McDonald's in Liga Khimki is focused on delivery, but the visitors can buy food there- they can take it away or make an order in a single dining area. It was also noted that the restaurant in Perekrestok is open for 24 hours.

The representatives of X5 Retail Group believe that such a format of cooperation is acceptable, since recently the boundaries between fast food and grocery retail are blurring. The companies believe they can build a new business model that adapts to changing consumer needs.
