LUKASHENKO DEMANDED TO DISMISS THE PROTESTING TEACHERS
The day before, it became known that President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko, who has been opposing the popular protests for the third week now, demanded to dismiss the teachers who participate in the protests, as well as the teachers who do not support the state ideology.
Such an order was given to the Minister of Education with the comment that the country has both state education and state ideology - there will be no work in the education sector for those who do not share these ideals.
At the same time, Lukashenko noted that the doors to schools were always open for the teachers who supported the party's policy.
In addition, the president added that active work to protect teachers and doctors from all kinds of attacks because of the support of the current government was underway. But in the event that a person “has moved to another camp,” he or she “needs to be dealt with,” added Lukashenko.
An interesting fact is the fact that the main law of Belarus - its Constitution, does not recognize the establishment of any ideology. This is expressly provided for in Article 4, which states that "the ideology of political parties ... cannot be established as compulsory for citizens."
