Low-rise residential districts are to be built in Russia

It is planned to give rise to the development of the standard low-rise construction project in Russia.  This is partly due to a slowdown in the development of multi-storey buildings, which is explained by the increase in the key rate and the rise in the cost of building materials.

For the mass construction of typical residential settlements, it is planned to create a design center at the federal level. It will coordinate work in this area, and the idea has already been approved by the public council under the Ministry of Construction.

The tasks of the federal design center should be the design, coordination of complex low-rise buildings in the regions, as well as planning for the further development of the private housing construction direction.

At the moment, the launch of pilot projects for the construction of low-rise standard houses is brewing in 14 subjects of Russia. It is assumed that the cost of such real estate will be at least 15% lower than its counterparts. On average, it takes about a year to launch a project, and in order for such examples to grow, a single focal point is required.

According to the experts, there are enough people who want to stay in their city or move to its comfortable suburbs in the Russian regions. Nevertheless, a private house assumes a larger footage than an apartment and a more comfortable standard of living, Izvestia reports.
