LAND BORDER OF GEORGIA WILL BE OPENED FOR RUSSIAN TOURISTS
From June 1, Russian tourists will be able to get to Georgia through the land border, but to pass the border control, a vaccination certificate is required.
The Georgian authorities have made a decision to open land borders with closest neighbors - they have been closed since March 2020. However, the tourists will need to have a coronavirus test and a complete vaccination course.
Tourists are also recommended to have health insurance.
This is due to the care for the travelers themselves - with insurance, you can avoid unnecessary expenses when infected.
We should recall that on February 1, Georgia opened the air traffic. Foreigners also need a vaccination certificate for this, but Russian citizens can limit themselves to the coronavirus absence test.
Vaccinations have been taking place in Georgia since March 15, during which time 117 thousand people (slightly more than 3% of the population) have been vaccinated. According to statistics, 9.1% of the country's residents were infected with coronavirus - more than 320 thousand patients recovered, 4654 died.
