It became known that Japan is closing the state borders for all the foreigners, including businessmen. The tightening of measures is connected with a new strain of coronavirus.
Representatives of 11 countries could visit Japan on the basis of bilateral agreements until recently. Now the entry of foreigners into the country is completely closed.
Japan stopped issuing new visas on December 28, 2020.
Today, only the Japanese themselves, as well as foreigners permanently residing there, can enter the country. In the case of the return of these categories of citizens from the states where a new strain of covid has already been detected, they will have to be tested for the absence of the disease - no later than 72 hours from the moment of departure. A second test must be done at a Japanese airport.
Previously, businessmen from China, Thailand, South Korea, Vietnam and some other countries could visit the country - Japan tried to maintain business activity. But due to the likelihood of a new spread of infection, the country's authorities made a decision on additional restrictions.
More than 300 thousand people were infected with coronavirus in Japan and the number of deaths is more than 4000. It is noted that in January, the increase in the incidence has had explosive rates.
