163 thousand citizens were declared bankrupt only in the first half of 2023. This figure is a third more than in the same period last year.
According to Izvestia, a bleak trend is associated with the creditworthiness of Russians and the development of the institution of financial insolvency. It is also noted that the number of citizens who have difficulties with loan payments remains the same – about 9 million people.
As follows from the data of Fedresurs, since the existence of the institute of judicial bankruptcy of individuals (autumn 2015), 916 thousand citizens have already been declared bankrupt.
As for out-of-court bankruptcy, from September 2020 to June 2023, 18.7 thousand people with a total debt of 6.44 billion rubles underwent the procedure.
