Turkish drone Kargu-2 tracked down and attacked a man for the first time, bypassing the commands of its operator. The case was reported in Libya in March 2020, and the details of the incident were not disclosed.

At the moment, it is known that during the attack, the drone was in the air, in autonomous mode, reports RG.

The drone tracked down and attacked the person on its own. The operator's participation was not recorded.

The drone is a creation of Turkish engineers, and its production began two years earlier. Its weight is about 15 kilograms, the maximum time spent in the air does not exceed half an hour. The quadcopter is equipped with military weapons in the form of fragmentation, thermobaric or cumulative ammunition.

At the same time, communication with the operator is carried out via encrypted channels, giving the person the opportunity to cancel or change the object of the attack.

The software of the drone allows it to independently conduct reconnaissance of the territory and even find and hit targets. The quadcopter can also automatically move along the points set by the operators, performing both takeoff and landing.
